REDEFINING CULTURE – PART III

Continuation from REDEFINING CULTURE PART II

The first step to finding a solution is recognizing that there is a problem. I always believe that there spiritual reasons behind pain and trouble. As bad as it sounds, It is good that this is happening to this nation, especially at this moment in history.

No, only the country has become addicted and violent, but the Character is becoming a disgrace. Subsequently, we have a compounded problem because not only we have to address addictions but the foundation of our Character too.

This mess will force us to wake up, to find solutions inside ourselves, forcing us to grow. To discover what is missing, bringing us to a journey of change and transformation, that in turn, will make us better people — turning these amazing culture into a magnificent one!

Meditation
Be Present

Always remember how the brain functions: The cells that fire together, wire together, creating a long term relationship. If you continuously get angry, you are rewiring and re-ingraining that neuro-net in the brain. So that long term relationship snowballs into an incredibly intense anger, long-lasting, and frequent, wrecking people’s lives.

On the other hand, what no fire together doesn’t wire together, so they lose that relationship every time we interrupt a thought, we interrupt that relationship. We interrupt that wiring. How we interrupt that relationship? By being present, we observe and stop the wiring.

When you meditate, you are firing and wiring those connections. Those peaceful sensations, the same way, that the anger escalates in a snowball. The feelings of peacefulness, calmness expands becoming those feel-good emotions, peace, and tranquillity.

Self -Awareness-the Sun that Melts the Human Flows.

The art of being present is a challenge at the beginning, but with time, it becomes automatic. You need to find anchors that hold you present. The minute you find yourself thinking, bring your mind, your awareness of the objects that are in front of you.

The wall, the tree, the sky, the river, the fruit, the child, the plant, any object, anything in front of you can become your anchor to bring you to the present moment, interrupting the thought.

Consistent meditation can be a great way to start becoming present and aware. After that, the next thing is to move that attention to the inner you. Pay attention to your thoughts, your emotions, your feelings.

Observe how one thing triggers thoughts; those thoughts bring then feelings, emotions, desires, cravings. Then, those thoughts move you into actions.
